Using Dual GPUs on a Lenovo Y500 for Separate Monitors

I'm working on getting my Lenovo Y500 to function as my main computer at home. I've connected a second monitor via HDMI and I'm trying to set it up so that each monitor—one built into the laptop and one external—uses a different GPU. Unfortunately, I can't select GPU-1 in the NVIDIA Settings; it only recognizes GPU-0. I'm running Linux Mint 21.3 and have GPU drivers version 390.157. If you need more information, just let me know, and I'll provide it!

What exactly are you hoping to achieve by using two GPUs for your separate monitors? Is there a specific application you're trying to run that requires this setup?

Right now, both my monitors are being driven by a single GPU, and the second one isn't being used at all. I’m just trying to play OSRS and watch YouTube, but YouTube can't handle anything above 240p without being super jittery.
