Should I Focus on CCNA or Azure Certifications for a Junior System Admin Role?

Hey folks! I'm trying to figure out my next step in my tech career and could use some advice. I've got my Network+ certification and a Bachelor's degree in Information Tech Management. I've spent about a year in a tech environment, where I dabbled in Active Directory and found a love for how networking works. Now I'm torn between diving into CCNA studies or pursuing the AZ-900 and AZ-104 Azure certifications. I want to stand out in job applications for junior system admin roles, particularly in healthcare or county jobs. Do you think getting a CCNA would be overkill for these positions? Or would it help make my resume stronger no matter which path I take? Thanks for your input!

As someone who’s done some hiring, I can tell you I value hands-on experience and actual projects over just stacking up certifications. Your background already gives you an edge over many other candidates just starting out, so don't stress too much about which certification to pursue next.

That’s reassuring to hear! I'm confident with my experience in managing licenses and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory. Any recommendations for skills or knowledge aside from certifications that would be valuable?
