What Are Some Good Budget Graphics Card Options?

I'm thinking about building a new PC and need a budget-friendly graphics card. I previously used a 1650 Super, but it's starting to struggle with performance. I don't play a lot of demanding games, but I do enjoy titles from Rockstar, the Witcher series, and some FromSoftware games. What graphics cards do you recommend that won't bottleneck with 8GB of RAM?

Before you decide, you should consider your whole system setup. What motherboard and CPU are you using? Sometimes the graphics card's potential can be limited by the rest of your hardware. I moved from a 1650 Super to an RTX 2060 Super and saw a significant boost in performance!

You can find plenty of RTX 2060 and RTX 3060 cards on eBay for around $125, which is a steal considering the performance boost. For comparison, the GTX 1650 has a PassMark score of 7871, while the RTX 2060 is at 14113 and the RTX 3060 hits 16978!

It really depends on what you classify as 'budget.' If you're open to suggestions, I suggest looking at the RTX 3060 Ti, which has been priced pretty well recently. It handled games like Witcher 3 and the newer Resident Evil titles at 1440p with smooth frame rates for me!

If you’re looking for something under $300, check out the Arc B580. It comes with 12GB of VRAM and is a solid choice if your CPU supports Rebar. It's one of the few current cards with more than 8GB of VRAM in that price range!
