What Could Be Causing My PC to Make a Crisp Noise When Gaming?

I've noticed that my PC is making a kind of crisp or static noise, but it only happens when I start a game and it's loading. I'm wondering what might be causing this sound. Could it be that I messed up a fan when I cleaned it?

That sounds like it could be coil whine, which is pretty common in PCs. It’s usually harmless but can be a little annoying when you're gaming.

I have a similar issue with my PSU. It buzzes or rattles under heavy workloads, but sometimes I think it might be the motherboard causing it. Not sure though!

Does the noise only appear when you’re loading something? It might be coming from your UPS under load.

It does get louder during loading, but I can hear it all the time if I put my ear close to the PC. I even recorded it; here's the link: https://imgur.com/a/vwtL1IC

It does sound like there might be an issue with one of your fans. Have you checked them properly?

I did, but the noise doesn't seem to come from the fans. I think it might be more like an electric sound from the motherboard.

If it’s not a fan issue, you might want to check if you have an HDD. They can occasionally make chirping sounds, especially if your other fans are quiet. Also, sometimes the PWM controller can produce chirping noises under varying loads rather than just a constant hum.

I looked into it and found that the noise seems to be coming from the motherboard. When I crank the fans up to max, there's no sound, only during boot and game loads. It's more like a vibration or electric kind of noise.

I do have an HDD, and it’s never made a sound before. Do you think that could be the cause? I'm pretty sure it’s not the GPU or any fan.
