I built my PC about three or four years ago. While it wasn't top-of-the-line, it ran pretty well for a long time, giving me around 100 FPS in Minecraft and 120 FPS in CS:GO. However, over the past year, it's become really slow. Now, I can't even browse YouTube without issues—boot-up takes about 10 minutes, and right-clicks take around 10 seconds to register. My setup includes a Ryzen 3 2nd gen with Radeon graphics, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and an Aorus motherboard. Any advice on what could be going wrong?

It sounds like you might have some malware or possibly a failing hard drive. A good first step is to run a malware scanner like Malwarebytes to check for any issues. But honestly, if things don't improve, backing up your data and doing a clean install of Windows could solve your problems, especially if a software issue is causing this slowdown.
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact cause; there could be many reasons for the sluggish performance. Start by uninstalling programs you don't use, check for background applications hogging resources, and cleaning up disk space. Also, keep an eye on your task manager to see what's using the most CPU or memory.
Have you checked how much free space is left on your Windows drive? Low disk space can really affect performance. I once dealt with a similar situation and discovered I was running low on space, which led to frequent BSODs until I sorted it out.
Yeah, space can be a big factor. I found my system acting up because it was really cramped.
Three years is a good time to consider reformatting your system. Corrupt software can accumulate over time, and if you're on an older HDD, it might be slowing you down. A clean slate could really help improve speeds.
Do you regularly clean out cache files? Those can accumulate over time and slow things down. Maybe try some cleaning tools or just delete unnecessary files.
Are you still using an HDD for storage? If so, consider upgrading to an SSD. They’re much faster. Plus, with only 8GB of RAM, it might be worth upgrading to 16GB, especially for gaming. You’ll see a significant boost in performance!
That's solid advice. I went through something similar and ended up doing a clean install. It really helped, and if it runs fine afterward, you'll know it was just software mess up.
