I'm looking for advice on the best CPU upgrade from my Ryzen 3600. The second-hand market around here is nearly nonexistent, so I can't realistically get a used X3D. I've heard good things about the 5600X, but I feel like the upgrade isn't substantial enough to justify the cost. With prices rising for RAM, the discontinuation of some SSDs, and Nvidia halting GPU production next year, I think now is a good time to invest in a new CPU since they're relatively affordable (even if slightly above MSRP). Would the 5800X be a solid choice?

I’d recommend going for an 8-core CPU like the 5700X or 5800X, depending on which one is cheaper. Just make sure to update your motherboard's BIOS so it can support the new CPU. If you’re currently using the stock cooler, consider getting an aftermarket one too; it could help with cooling efficiency.
Honestly, I keep hearing that you can find a used X3D if you look hard enough, but I totally get it. If the market's dead where you are, that’s tough. Just be careful with those sellers online; some are really sketchy. I think your best bet would be the 5800X for a solid upgrade.
