What GPU should I upgrade to for better gaming performance?

Hey everyone! I'm currently using a setup with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 6600XT graphics card. Unfortunately, the low VRAM on the 6600XT is really holding me back in games like MSFS 2024. I have a budget of around £500 to £600, and I'm open to buying used graphics cards. I was thinking about getting a used 4070Ti for about £550. I'm mainly looking at Nvidia cards since my experiences with AMD haven't been great, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance!

If you’re looking for good options, you might consider the RX 9070XT, which could be around £650, or the RTX 5070Ti, but that one will likely be above £700. Both would be solid upgrades and your Ryzen 5700X3D should handle them without any issues. If you’re focused on staying within budget, the RX 9070 and RTX 5070 could also fit nicely under your price range. Don’t forget about that 4070 Ti you mentioned; going for 16GB VRAM is a smart choice for high-end gaming these days!

That £550 for a used 4070Ti sounds like a decent deal, but have you considered other options? A new 5070 could be a better bet. Also, keep an eye out for deals on the 7800XT or 7900GRE, as those will definitely give you a noticeable performance bump. If you can snag a 9070XT for under £600, that’s also worth looking into. Overall, a new 5070 priced around £500 might be the best route instead of settling for a used card.

I have seen some lightly used Founders Edition 5070s listed on eBay for around £500 and some 4070 Super models for about £550. These have 12GB of VRAM, so even though they’re not the 16GB versions, they should still make MSFS 2024 playable with frame generation and all that, right? It’s tough to justify spending more on those higher VRAM cards when you can get solid options for a bit less.
