What M.2 SSD Should I Choose for My ASROCK B450m Steel Legend?

I'm looking to expand the storage on my desktop PC and plan to add another M.2 SSD. My current setup is an ASROCK B450m Steel Legend, and while the lower M.2 slot is already in use, the upper slot right underneath the CPU (the Ultra M.2 slot) is empty. It appears that the Ultra M.2 slot has two slots stacked for SSDs. I'm curious which M.2 SSDs would be compatible with this setup, whether it matters which of the two slots I use, and if there are any potential issues with power or pathing when using either or both slots.

Actually, the Ultra M.2 slot only has one M.2 slot, not two stacked ones. You can install NVMe SSDs there, and it will connect using PCIe 3.0 x4, which means you can benefit from speeds up to 3500 MB/s. It's compatible with PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 SSDs too, but their speed will be limited to what the slot supports.

Yes, a Western Digital Green SN350 would be a good fit for your motherboard! After you install it, you just need to screw it down and it'll be ready to use—no extra steps involved.
