What platform combines network discovery, asset management, and ticketing?

I work in IT and I'm tired of handling basic discovery, asset lists, and ticketing manually. I'm looking for a dependable platform that can automatically discover network devices, maintain a proper asset inventory, and ideally handle tickets and other management tasks without requiring constant repairs or cleanup. What tools have worked well for you, especially in larger or more complex environments?

GLPI is worth considering if you want an open-source, self-hosted solution. It supports inventory through agents and SNMP, asset management, and ticketing. Setup takes some configuration and it may not be as polished or powerful as commercial products, but it can be quite dependable once tuned.

ServiceDesk Plus Cloud and ManageEngine Endpoint Central both cover this space. They combine discovery or inventory with broader IT management and service-desk features, so they may be a good fit if you want automation beyond simply cataloging devices.

LOGINventory is another strong option. It can handle roughly 2,000 assets, create QR-code labels, track equipment issues and assignments, and collect details such as monitor and docking-station serial numbers without installing agents. It can also be run fully on-premises at a reasonable cost.

The agentless scanning and equipment tracking sound especially useful. I’ll add it to the list to evaluate.

For complicated networks, separating the responsibilities can work better than forcing one platform to do everything. Use a dedicated discovery tool such as Lansweeper to collect accurate network data, then send it through an API to the service desk or asset system. That approach is often more maintainable when subnet layouts and automation requirements become complex.

Lansweeper is probably the closest match. It has solid network discovery, asset inventory, and native ticketing, and several people find it reliable for combining those functions in one place.
