What Power Supply Should I Pick for My 5070 Build?

I'm looking for advice on which power supply unit (PSU) to choose for my new 5070 build. I have two options: the Thermalright TR-TB750S with 750W and 85% efficiency, or for an additional $80, I can get the Cooler Master MPE-8506-ACAG-BEU with 850W, Gold-rated efficiency at 90%. What would be the best choice considering my setup?

You might want to check out a recommended PSU guide; there’s an Excel file circulating that could help you out.

I've got a 5070 running on a 650W PSU, and it works just fine, so I think either option you mentioned would be sufficient.

I prefer going for gold efficiency myself. If your other parts aren’t too power-hungry, a 750W should work fine. I'm running a 4080 Super on a 750W PSU with multiple drives and it hasn’t given me any issues.

Is there a big difference between bronze and gold efficiency? If it's worth it, I might just grab the 750W Gold for around $45 extra.

It really depends on your other components and whether you plan to overclock. A 750W PSU should cover you well, but Nvidia recommends at least 650W for the 5070.
