I'm building my first PC and I'm trying to figure out which power supply unit (PSU) to get. My specs are as follows: an Intel i5-9500 CPU, a Radeon RX 580 8GB GPU, a TB360-BTC PRO 2.0 motherboard, 16GB of RAM (2 x 8GB), one SSD, and one HDD. I've got standard air cooling. How many watts do I need for the PSU, and do you have any brand recommendations?

A 550W PSU should be more than enough for your setup. It gives you some headroom for future upgrades too! Just make sure to pick a reliable brand like Corsair or EVGA for the best quality and support.

For your build, I'd recommend sticking with brands like Seasonic or Thermaltake as well. It's always smart to invest a bit more in a good PSU since it powers everything!

Have you looked at what happened to your previous PSU? Knowing what went wrong can help avoid similar issues. But don't worry, since this is your first build, just focus on getting a good power supply. 550W is a solid choice.
