Hey everyone, I hope I'm in the right place to ask this. Recently, my Discord and Steam accounts were compromised, but it didn't seem like they were hacked in the traditional sense. It feels like someone accessed them directly through my PC. I'm pretty sure I've got a Trojan due to my own mistakes, but thankfully, no serious damage was done. I've logged out of everything, changed all my passwords, wiped my PC, and installed a fresh version of Windows. I also set up Malwarebytes right away and have mobile authenticators, which makes this all the more confusing. What other steps can I take to make sure I'm secure now? Honestly, this whole situation has me feeling really anxious, and I'd appreciate any advice.

If you think there's malware on your computer, make sure to change all your passwords using a trusted device that’s clean. After that, it’s wise to wipe your PC completely and do a fresh install of Windows without restoring any backups.
You seem to have done the right things to secure your accounts. Just make sure your passwords are strong and unique. You might want to monitor your accounts closely for any strange activity after this.
Definitely contact Steam support; they’re usually pretty good about recovering accounts that have been compromised. As for Discord, if you can’t reset the password or it's banned, it may be lost, but at least you’ve secured your Steam account. Just keep doing what you're doing!
From what you’ve said, it seems like you caught the issue early and took the right actions. If nothing was technically lost, just keep an eye on your accounts. It sounds like you're on the right track.
