I'm having trouble with my external hard drive since it's not connecting at all. It doesn't show up in disk management or anywhere else. I'm really stuck here. Any suggestions on what to do?

It sounds like your hard drive might have some issues. I was in a similar situation, and after troubleshooting, it finally showed up in disk management for me. However, when I tried to initialize it, I got an error. If you're facing this too, it could be a sign of drive failure. You can check the error message by doing a quick search to know what it means!
Before doing anything drastic, can I ask if your hard drive is new or used? If it's used and you have files on it, I recommend using third-party software to try to recover those first. If it's clear, reformatting might be your best option to make it usable again. Just remember, formatting will erase all data on it!
