What should I focus on as a junior backend developer?

I've been learning Java and Spring Boot, and I've built a few CRUD applications. I've also worked with Spring Security and MapStruct, and I managed to add social login features. However, I'm feeling a bit stuck because if I start a new project, it will likely just involve more CRUD operations, and I'm worried that I won't really learn anything new. What should I do next to improve my skills and make my CV stand out for a junior backend developer role? Also, I'm interested in becoming a backend developer primarily, though I think it would be useful to learn some frontend skills once I secure a job. Any suggestions on what to learn or build to help me get there?

You should definitely explore frontend technologies, Docker, cloud computing, and DevOps practices. As a developer, you have the opportunity to experiment with different stacks and tech. It can really broaden your perspective and skill set!

Thanks for the advice! I’m considering focusing on frontend after I land a backend job so I can really concentrate. Is cloud computing too advanced for someone at my level? I keep thinking I should focus on mastering the basics like writing clean code first—does that sound right?
