Hey everyone! After using my PC for 8 years, I've noticed it getting slower during gaming and when I'm working with 3D CAD software. Since it was pre-built, I'm not super experienced with PC building. Here's my current setup: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dMpzRV](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dMpzRV).
I'm looking for advice on where to start upgrading. I want to learn about PC building for future upgrades too, so any tips or explanations would be appreciated. I don't have a strict budget but I'm not aiming for top-of-the-line parts. I'm based in the Netherlands. Thanks a lot!

Considering your setup, I'd suggest you start with the CPU, motherboard, and RAM since those are pretty outdated. Transitioning to all SSD storage would also make a huge difference; running anything off an HDD nowadays slows things down considerably.
You could keep your PSU, GPU, storage, and case, and build an AM5 setup around those. Look for a budget-friendly Ryzen CPU, a B650 motherboard, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Just check if your current CPU cooler is compatible with AM5; you might need to contact Be Quiet! for a new bracket. But if you're thinking of upgrading your GPU down the line, you'll probably need a new PSU too.
I really wouldn’t keep the PSU. If it’s nearing 10 years old, it’s better to replace it. Older PSUs can be a liability and might fail without warning.
