Hey everyone! I haven't been following the PC building scene for a couple of years. I built my current setup in 2023 with these specs:
- Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600K
- Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
- RAM: 16 GB DDR4
My monitor is a curved KOORUI 27 Inch QHD 2560P Gaming Monitor with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Lately, I've started noticing some choppiness in games. What do you think I should upgrade next? Should I bump up my RAM, switch to DDR5, or maybe look into a new monitor?

Do you know the model of your motherboard and PSU? Also, in what situations are you experiencing choppiness? That info can help narrow down what's going on.
It really depends on what’s causing that lag. Have you figured out if it’s related to your CPU, GPU, or RAM?
Great question! I’m sort of a noob at this—how can I tell?

Motherboard is MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 and the PSU is EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT. I notice it mostly in games like Fortnite—especially during the first few games of a session—and some random lag spikes in Rocket League every 30 seconds. Everything seems to be booting up more slowly too.
