As a junior backend developer, I'm currently focusing on improving my skills by working on .NET API projects. I'm trying to organize my learning in a way that I not only build practical experience but also become 'hire-ready' and solidify my understanding of fundamental concepts. What are some key areas I should concentrate on while looking for a job?

If you're in school, definitely keep at it! Education is crucial for landing a job. Apart from that, you should work on enhancing your skills, polishing your resume, and building a strong portfolio. Just stay committed to learning and showcasing your growth to potential employers.

Learn as much as you can from people willing to mentor you. When someone explains something, don’t just take it at face value—ask 'why' and take notes. The key is to use your enthusiasm to compensate for lack of experience; it will set you apart. Also, tackle projects that you might think are challenging—sometimes they work out and are great learning experiences! And if you don't have a job yet, publish your projects on GitHub; your code can impress interviews when you can't be there in person.

Great advice! I have some projects on GitHub, but I need to improve their documentation.

Mastering ASP.NET for the backend with ReactJS on the frontend is a solid combination that opens many doors in the job market. You might also want to learn a bit about Docker and Kubernetes to boost your employability.
