What Upgrades Can I Make to Boost My PC Performance on a Budget?

I've recently realized my PC is really struggling, even with older games like The Witcher 3, which I can only run at about 45-50 fps on Medium settings. With a newborn at home, I'm not looking to spend a ton but have been setting aside a little cash for some improvements. I ran a benchmark test using 3DMark, and here are my results: my graphics score is 8965 and my CPU score is 7490. Here's a quick rundown of my specs:
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600x 6-Core (CPU)
- ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (Motherboard)
- Nvidia 3060 12GB, slightly overclocked (GPU)
- CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB DDR4 RAM (2x8GB) 3200MHz (RAM)
- Corsair iCUE 220T RGB (Case)
- Corsair H110i (Watercooling)
- Around 800W Corsair PSU.

So my question is, which specific part should I consider upgrading to see a noticeable performance boost without breaking the bank? Any suggestions?

If you're looking for a performance upgrade, focusing on your GPU might be the way to go. Even though you're using a 3060, consider checking if your GPU is overheating or if it's power limits are throttling performance. Sometimes, it's just a matter of optimizing what you have!

Before jumping into upgrades, you should think about your monitor's resolution. What are you playing at? Sometimes, scaling down the resolution can help improve frame rates significantly without any hardware upgrades. Just something to consider before spending money!

Considering your system specs, upgrading your RAM could potentially help. Moving to 32GB (like 2x16GB sticks) would give you a bit more headroom for gaming and multitasking, especially with more demanding games. However, you might want to check if that's financially feasible for you right now since it can get pricey. Just keep in mind the total you're willing to spend!

Yeah, going for 32GB might be overkill unless you're doing a lot of multitasking. If money's tight, maybe just adding another 8GB stick could be more reasonable.

I remember your previous post! It might be worth looking at possible issues before upgrades. Try clearing the CMOS and doing a fresh install of Windows and drivers. Sometimes, that can solve performance problems without needing new hardware. If you want to stress test, check your temps too!
