Hey everyone! I need some advice on upgrading my PC, which is starting to show its age. It's struggling with some car games like Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft's shaders are causing issues. I usually have to run most games on low to medium settings. I'm thinking about upgrading the GPU, but I'm not sure what to get or if anything else needs an upgrade to support it. My PC is about 5-6 years old, and here are the specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: MSI Radeon 570
- Motherboard: Asrock A320M HDV
- RAM: Ballistix 16GB
- Power Supply: Thermaltake Smart 600W
- SSD: WD Green 240GB SATA
Thanks for any help!

First off, you definitely need to check the power supply label to see how much power you have available. That'll help a lot in deciding what GPU you can upgrade to. The Radeon 570 isn't a huge power hog, but knowing your power situation is key.
It sounds like you might benefit from both a GPU upgrade and considering a CPU upgrade since the Ryzen 5 3600 is getting old too. If budget is tight, I’d suggest you look for a mid-range GPU that fits your PSU capabilities. For a more budget-friendly option, maybe a used GPU like a GTX 1660 could do the trick, while something like an RTX 3060 would be a more robust choice for future-proofing, though it’ll cost a bit more!
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll look into those options and see what fits my budget.

Exactly! If the power supply isn't strong enough, you'll need to upgrade that too. Just make sure to note down the wattage.
