Hey everyone! I built my PC in 2023 and so far I've only upgraded the CPU from a Ryzen 2700x to a Ryzen 5700x3D, which made a noticeable difference. I primarily use my computer for gaming and I'm looking to improve my performance, particularly since I'm only getting around 80 FPS on most Steam games. I'd love to hear any suggestions on what parts I should consider upgrading to get better graphics and smoother gameplay. Here are my current specs:
- GPU: Radeon 6700 XT 12GB
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz 2x8 (16GB)
- CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 140mm black
- Power Supply: Corsair CX750M, 750 Watt
- Storage: 1TB SSD
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime X570-P ATX

To get over that 80 FPS mark, you should look into getting either a 9070XT or a 5070TI. But seriously, do you even need more than 80 FPS for most Steam games? Just a thought!
Definitely consider a GPU upgrade—this is where you'll see the most improvement in gaming. But remember, which GPU you pick will depend on your budget and what models are available in your area.
If you're looking to boost your performance, consider adding another 16GB of RAM (2x8GB) that matches your current specs, if your motherboard supports it. It can really help with gaming. Also, what resolution are you gaming at? If it’s 1080p, you might be hitting some CPU limits.
My resolution is 2560x1440, so yeah I would also like to put it to use- forgot to mention in my post!
Upgrading to an RX 9070 would be solid; it should work with your current power supply too. The 9060XT is also a nice option, sitting at about the performance level of a 6800 or 6800XT. I transitioned from the 6700XT and had a great experience with 1440p.
Thank you. Is there a big difference between the 6700xt and 9060xt? I wouldn't have thought so myself.

It really depends if he's gaming at 1080p or higher. At 2K, the 9070XT can deliver great FPS.
