I'm planning to upgrade from my Ryzen 3600 to a Ryzen 5800X3D, and I realize I need a better cooling solution than the stock AMD Wraith cooler I currently have. I've been considering the ID-COOLING FROZN A720 since it offers performance similar to the Noctua NH-D15 G2 but at half the cost. I've also looked into the Dark Rock Pro Elite, but I've heard about issues with fan compatibility and poor cooling for AM5 in future upgrades. Ease of installation is important to me, and I'm not concerned about having RGB lighting. Any suggestions?

The ID-COOLING cooler you mentioned is solid. By the way, do you have access to the Thermalright Phantom Spirit? It seems like a great fit for your setup.
The Thermalright options are definitely top performers for the price. I've put a few in builds, but just keep in mind the fans could be a bit noisy. You can always swap them out later if you want something quieter.
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit would work well for you and are usually pretty affordable. If you're short on space for a dual-tower cooler, I'd recommend the Burst Assassin; it keeps my 5700X3D nice and cool.
