I'm considering upgrading from my GTX 3060 and need some advice on what to get. There aren't many cards at MSRP currently, but I found these options available at my local store (prices in USD):
- 5070 12GB for $650
- 5060 Ti 16GB for $576
- 4070 Super 12GB for $613
I'm wondering if there are any other suggestions out there. Is having only 12GB of RAM going to hinder me in the future? I'd prefer not to exceed $650. I'm gaming on a 1440p monitor and using an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core processor, so I'm looking for the best value for my setup.

You might also want to consider the RX 9070 non-XT, which you can grab for around $600. It has better rasterization and more VRAM than the 5070, but it lacks CUDA support and has slightly worse upscaling. Worth a thought!
If you find the 9070 non-XT for under $550, that’s a steal. Otherwise, the 5070 should serve you well. Based on my experience, I rarely go over 10GB VRAM gaming at 1440p, and with NTC technology, upcoming titles may need much less VRAM, so don’t stress too much about the 12GB.
12GB vs 16GB does have its pros and cons. The 5070’s 12GB strikes a good balance, but the 5060 Ti’s 16GB is tailored for DLSS performance. If you can go a bit higher, I’d suggest the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB—it's a well-rounded card.
Don't overlook the 9070 XT! It's definitely one of the best options in this price range and would give you a solid boost for your games.
Between the 5070 and the 4070 Super, I'd lean towards the 4070 Super if you're looking to save some cash. They perform similarly, but the 5070 has Multi Frame Generation, which might be worth the extra $37 if you feel it's a good investment for your gaming needs.
