Hey everyone! I'm looking for the best CPU cooler out there for 2025 that offers excellent temperature control while being super quiet. I've been checking out some options but can't seem to find a solid recommendation from Gamers Nexus yet. Specifically, I'm considering if the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 Pro paired with Noctua G2 fans is the way to go. Price isn't an issue for me, so I'm aiming for the best combo of low noise and top-notch thermal performance.

Have you thought about why you’re leaning towards an AIO cooler? Those pumps can get really noisy, so you might end up hearing buzzing or liquid moving around. Air coolers have come a long way, and for most CPUs with lower wattages, they perform really well without the extra noise.

I get that, but the AIOs can sometimes offer lower temps compared to air coolers, especially at lower noise levels. I just want the absolute best setup!

Thermalright Pretor 130 is a solid option if you're looking for great cooling without the noise. Definitely worth considering!

The cooler you choose really depends on your CPU and how your case is laid out. If your CPU runs cool, then you won't need a massive cooler. Since you mentioned having plenty of room, a good air cooler can match the AIO’s performance but with way less noise. Consider large air coolers like the NH-D15 or the Peerless Assassin. They’re quieter and easier to manage with fan cables compared to AIOs that require multiple fan setups. In my experience, switching from a 360mm AIO back to an air cooler showed no performance drop, plus it’s a lot easier to cable manage! Let me know if you have more questions about your build.

I’ve got a Ryzen 9 9900X3D and a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120. It handles the heat well, but it's a bit on the noisy side. I really want to reach those low temps (60-75) and have near-silent operation during heavy gaming sessions.
