I'm interested in creating a social media app as a personal project once I have some free time later this year. I've mainly worked with .NET and Angular for information systems, but I want to explore new technologies to develop this app. What would you recommend as the best tech stack for this purpose?

Assembly + ChatGPT sounds like a wild combo! But in reality, stick to the languages and frameworks you know while exploring some new ones when you have the time. Just make sure whatever you choose can handle the features you want!

Honestly, there's not a huge difference in stacks for social media versus traditional info systems. You'll still need a solid presentation layer, a way to handle authentication, and a RESTful server. Websockets are important for real-time communication, though, so keep that in mind!

The best stack really depends on what you're comfortable with. If you're looking to learn new things, consider Rust for its performance benefits or Python for its versatility. Both could give you a great foundation for a social media app!
