What’s This Mysterious Cable in My Laptop for?

I opened up my HP Laptop 15-db0xxx because I was dealing with a Wi-Fi card error. While inspecting it, I found a cable that was disconnected, so I plugged it back in. What's strange is that this cable goes towards the display. I'm confused about why my display would be linked to my Wi-Fi card. I'm posting some images in the comments to give you a better look. Can anyone help me understand what this cable is for?

From the images, it looks like that white wire is the antenna. If it was disconnected, it wouldn’t directly cause a blue screen. However, it could potentially be bridging another component if it's loose, which might lead to issues. It's easy to accidentally knock things loose when you're working inside a laptop.

I posted another pic just in case it's helpful for diagnosis. Here it is!

That cable is likely tied to the Wi-Fi antenna, which often runs up to the display. This setup helps with signal reception as you adjust your screen angle. So it makes sense for it to be connected this way!

If it's loose, could it be causing blue screens? I’ve been experiencing a lot of those lately, and I wonder if it might be related.

Have you considered cleaning out the dust from your laptop's fans and heatsinks? Dust buildup can cause overheating, leading to crashes and even blue screens. It may be worth a shot!

I don’t think overheating is the problem, but I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the tip!
