I'm upgrading my PC and wondering about my current AIO cooler, a CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240L v2, which I've had for 5 years. It works fine; my Ryzen 5 5600x only goes up to 60C during heavy usage and the pump runs at about 2300 rpm. I've read that AIOs typically last around 5-7 years, but I'm curious if it's okay to keep using it until it fails or if I should consider replacing it while I have some extra money. Should I stick with an AIO or switch to an air cooler?

Honestly, just keep using your AIO until it gives you problems. I have a similar setup and mine is still going strong after 5 years too. Just remember, even if it lasts another 5 years, it might fail tomorrow—no one really knows!
If you're staying with the 5600x, I'd recommend switching to an air cooler. They're simpler and often just as effective; plus, prices for AIOs have really dropped. But if you're worried about your new GPU running hot, an air cooler should still do fine, especially since your CPU isn’t overclocked.

Yeah, I plan on keeping the 5600x for a while since prices are high now. I’m considering getting an air cooler, but I’m worried because I’m also getting a 9070 XT, which runs hot. Could that affect CPU temps? I’m not too familiar with air coolers outside of my first build, which just had a stock one.
