I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600x paired with an RTX 4060 and 48GB of RAM. My power supply is rated at 550W. I'm looking for suggestions on a good CPU upgrade. Any recommendations based on this setup?

Honestly, unless you're facing specific performance issues with your CPU, it might be better to hold off on just upgrading the CPU without changing other parts like the motherboard or PSU. A full system upgrade could be the way to go!

If you're serious about an upgrade, the 5700X or even the 5800X3D would be good choices. However, do keep in mind that without upgrading your motherboard, you might hit some compatibility issues.

You might want to consider upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D or the Ryzen 7 5800 if you're looking for more performance without needing a complete system overhaul. The 5800 has a lower TDP and could fit nicely with your current setup.

It really depends on your budget! If you’re looking to keep it under $500, that opens up some options, but you might not get the most bang for your buck unless you also think about a motherboard upgrade.
