I'm trying to decide on components for a gaming PC and need some advice. For my first choice, I'm looking at a bundle that includes an AMD 7800X3D processor paired with an ASUS B650E-E TUF motherboard for around $379.99. I also have the option of cheaper alternatives like the 9700X for $329, the 7700X for $300, or the 7600X3D for $300. To go with this setup, I'm considering a MSI SHADOW GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card priced at $360. I already have 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB WD SN850X SSD to use.
My second option is a pre-built PC from Costco, which costs $850 and features an Intel Core Ultra 5 225F processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD.
I want my first choice to be within $100 of the second option, leaving me about $210 for additional components. I'm looking for recommendations on a case, power supply unit (PSU), and CPU cooler on the more affordable side. Also, how do the performance and cost compare between these two choices? Is the 7800X3D too powerful for the 5060 Ti? This PC is intended for a new gamer.

The 7800X3D is a bit more than you need, honestly. The 7600X3D or even just the 7600 could give you great performance for a lot less money. Just look at the overall build cost including case and cooler, and you could have a better system than that Costco option.
I’d definitely go with the first choice and use the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It's a strong CPU for gaming and should pair well with the 5060 Ti. Just make sure to maximize the quality of your PSU and cooling.
Consider going for the 7600X3D and the 5060 Ti instead. It'll perform just as well for gaming and save you a bunch of money. You could build the whole setup for about $770 with decent options for a case, PSU, and cooler. Plus, you can still use that SSD you have.
