Which GPU Should I Upgrade to for 1440p Gaming?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a 4060 to either a 5060 Ti 16GB or a 5070 12GB as I'm moving from 1080p to 1440p gaming. I'd like to know which GPU would provide the best performance while minimizing the risk of bottlenecking with my AM4 CPU. Bottleneck calculators suggest that the 5060 Ti won't cause any bottlenecks, but that the 5070 might. Here are my current specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600, ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS, ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 EVO OC Edition 8GB GDDR6, Samsung Odyssey G4 25" monitor, G.Skill Aegis 32GB RAM, Corsair RM650e PSU, and SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB SSD. Thanks for your help!

Bottleneck calculators aren't very reliable; I would recommend the 5070 without a doubt. The Ryzen 5 5600 is a solid processor, and you shouldn't have a problem with performance at 1440p.

From my experience, having tried both GPUs, the 5070 is definitely the better option. The 5060 Ti is too similar to the 4060 in terms of performance, so I wouldn't bother upgrading just for that. I have a 5800X and 5070 setup, and it runs flawlessly at 1440p. Your 5600X should handle it just fine!

That's encouraging to hear! I actually have a 5600 (not the X model). Is that a huge difference in performance? Also, will my motherboard's PCI-e 4.0 x16 have any effect? And does my DDR4 RAM affect the GPU performance?
