Hey everyone! I'm totally new to dual booting and Linux in general. I'm considering either Arch Linux or Ubuntu for dual booting with Windows 11. I need Linux just in case something goes wrong, and I'm also interested in gaming, specifically using Sober for Roblox on Linux. Just for context, my specs are an AMD Ryzen 3 5300U with integrated graphics and I have about 50-80GB available for the Linux installation. Any suggestions?

You've got two very different distros in mind! Arch Linux is a rolling release which requires a solid understanding of Linux since you'll be building it from scratch. It can be a steep learning curve for newbies. On the flip side, Ubuntu is more user-friendly and designed for beginners, plus it has a great community for support. I'd lean towards Ubuntu if you're just starting out!
Be mindful if you're planning to install both Windows and Linux on the same drive. It's crucial to do your research to avoid any frustrating mishaps; the setup can get pretty tricky! As for the distros, think of Arch as a pile of materials to build your custom home—lots of potential but requires effort. Ubuntu is like a fully built house that's waiting for you to move in—much easier for new users!
Totally agree! Ubuntu makes things a lot easier for first-time users!
