Which PSU Should I Choose: Seasonic or Asus?

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new power supply unit (PSU) and I'm trying to decide between two options: the 750W Seasonic B12-BC-750 and the 750W Asus TUF-GAMING-750B. They're pretty much on the same level, but the Asus is around $15 more expensive. I noticed that TUF has over temperature protection, while the Seasonic does not. I've heard that the TUF isn't the quietest option out there, but I'm not sure about the Seasonic's noise levels. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, the Seasonic doesn't have the best reputation these days. There's been talk about using lower quality parts, particularly Chinese capacitors. But I get your point on the Asus being a bit pricier for what you get. You might want to consider alternatives like the MSI MAG A850GL, which gives you tier 1 performance without breaking the bank. It's all about what you need, really!

I get that the caps matter, but 'Chinese caps' doesn’t automatically mean it's bad. The Seasonic might not hit A+ quality but it's not awful either. Better options definitely exist, though.

I think you should just go for the cheaper option, honestly. Both PSUs are decent, but it really depends on what you're running. If your rig isn't super power-hungry, you might even manage with a lower-priced 750W PSU from Silverstone or something. If you're cool with running under the max load, a solid 650W could save you some cash!
