I'm in the process of changing my CPU cooler and I'm wondering which thermal paste would be best for my AMD 7800X3D. I'm using a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE cooler along with Noctua NF-A12X25 G2 PWM fans, and I want to know whether Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet PTM or Arctic MX-7 would be the better choice.

Both options are solid, but I’m a fan of the Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet for CPUs. I think it performs a bit better, plus it doesn’t need to be replaced unless you swap out the cooler.
I can’t beat the price-to-performance of MX-7. It’s easy to apply, plus I tinker with builds often. Arctic has been my go-to for a while, and I just realized I need a new tube myself since I'm almost out!
I personally use MX-7 on my AMD 5900X, and it's given me some of the best results. Just a heads up, though – it's a bit thick, which makes applying it a little tricky.
Honestly, any standard thermal paste from a reputable brand should work just fine here. With your CPU likely staying under 100W on a good day, you don’t need to overthink it too much.
Just a tip: PTM works best after going through a few thermal cycles. Overall, most people seem to agree that regular paste is plenty good for your setup.

Totally agree! For GPUs, the PhaseSheet is great, but for CPUs, the KryoSheet is definitely the way to go. Although for a chip like yours, regular paste will do the job.
