I just installed my new RTX 5080 with a 1000W PSU on an Asus Tuf B650 Plus WiFi motherboard, which only supports PCIe 4. My setup also includes a Ryzen 7 7700 CPU and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I've been watching benchmarks for CS2, since that's my main game, and I see it hitting around 700 FPS. However, when I play, I'm only getting 200-300 FPS. I'm aiming for over 600 FPS because I'm planning to get a 600Hz monitor. Could the PCIe 4, my CPU, or something else be causing this issue?

What resolution and in-game settings are you using? Also, confirm your exact CPU model and RAM specifications. Just so you know, using PCIe 4.0 generally has minimal impact on performance—usually around 1% difference.
That sounds frustrating! Did you make sure to compare your setup with benchmark tests, checking for the same resolution and in-game settings? It can really affect the FPS you're seeing.
It’s likely your CPU is a factor here. Benchmarks often use a Ryzen 7800X3D for better performance, while your Ryzen 7 7700 might not be hitting the same numbers. PCIe 4 shouldn’t be an issue at all.
