I've been using Claude Desktop on my Mac, along with a set of MCP tools, and I've noticed a strange issue. Many days, around 90% of the answers I receive just vanish right after they finish being generated. It's so frustrating because they don't show up in my history at all. I can see the responses being written, but then poof—they're gone. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have some MCP tools that trigger blocks if the conversation gets too speculative. That might be what's causing your answers to disappear if you're asking something that's over the line.
It might help to save your output manually before it disappears. That way, if it goes missing, you still have a record of it. Try copying the text as it comes up or use screenshots before moving on in the conversation.
I'm having the same issue! I’m currently using the Filesystem MCP tool, and it often fails when I ask it to access files that aren't .txt files. If it’s a docx or pdf, it's almost a guarantee that the answer will just disappear.
But how do I actually save it in the Desktop app? I’d like to keep the flow of conversation going, not just extract answers!
