I've had my RTX 4080 for about a year without issues, but recently something went wrong. Whenever I play a demanding game, one of my GPU fans spins at 100%, even though the temperature stays around 60-65°C. After quitting the game, the fan doesn't always calm down; it fluctuates between 60-100%. I've checked the fan curves, reseated the GPU, and used Gigabyte Control Center to monitor things. Has anyone else faced this fan problem with their graphics card?

It sounds like you might have a fan control issue. Have you checked if the fan curves are correctly set? Sometimes manually adjusting the fan speed in the software can help. If the fan speeds aren't changing as expected, it could be a config problem or a bug with the software you're using.
What are your temperatures like when this happens? If they stay under 68°C, it might be a software glitch since you mentioned that lowering the fan curve helps. Just keep an eye on those temps to avoid overheating.
Yep, they don’t go above 68°C. It’s weird because if I set the fan to stay lower around 65°C, I don’t see these issues. When it ramps up, it just hits 100% right away.
I’m using Gigabyte’s Control Center too, and I’ve noticed that only one fan is acting up. The software shows it spinning at over 600k RPM, which seems off. Do you think it’s a GPU issue, or could it be something with my motherboard?
