Why are only two of my three monitors working after upgrading to a 4060?

I just upgraded my PC with a new 4060 graphics card, but I'm having trouble getting all three of my monitors to work properly. I have an MSI Optix G24 curved monitor, a random LG monitor, and a Huion graphics tablet. Previously, I was using my motherboard's ports with USB adapters, and while it wasn't perfect, it allowed me to use all three screens. Now, after the upgrade, only two monitors are detecting, and I'm stuck. I'm guessing installing the GPU may have disabled the HDMI ports on the motherboard, but one of the adapters still works while the other doesn't, no matter how I switch them around. Having only two screens is a big problem for my freelance art work. Can anyone help me figure out how to get everything working again? I'm open to any tips, and I'd even throw in a free doodle of your choice for some help!

Updating your GPU drivers can definitely help with display issues. Make sure you're on the latest version from Nvidia's site; that might resolve the problem.

I already have the latest Nvidia drivers installed.

What output options does the 4060 have? With three DisplayPort options, consider getting an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter. This might help utilize the ports better since your MSI seems to have issues with the DisplayPort connection.

There’s only one HDMI port on the 4060, and my MSI just doesn’t pick up the DisplayPort. I’m testing it now with just the DisplayPort connected.

What resolutions are your monitors set to? If they're all 1080x1920, that should be fine. Also, check if you're using the cables that came with the monitors. Make sure your 4060 is in the best PCIe slot; sometimes, that's crucial for performance.

Unfortunately, my PC only has one PCIe slot. I'm sure all the monitors are 1080x1920, but I read there's a way to use both integrated and GPU ports together, though I'm clueless on how.

It sounds like the GPU might not support the combined resolutions you're trying to use. It's a bit concerning since your motherboard managed all three monitors without major issues. A 4060 should definitely perform better, so something's going on here.

I’m really hoping it isn’t the card because that would be such a letdown if it can't outdo my previous setup.

Have you tried connecting the monitor to the integrated GPU? Sometimes, even with a dedicated GPU installed, the integrated one can still function for a second display.

I tried that, but the motherboard HDMI port isn't picking anything up.

Can you describe how each monitor is connected? Try to keep cable adapters to a minimum, as they can cause conflicts. If you have multiple outputs, see if you can use DisplayPort for one or two of your monitors.

Sure! One monitor is using an HDMI to USB adapter, another is an HDMI to VGA adapter, and the third connects directly to the 4060. The 4060 only has one HDMI and three DisplayPorts, and my MSI monitor won’t recognize the DisplayPort cable at all.
