I recently set up my Lenovo m920q Tiny as a home server, and everything seems to be working fine. However, I've run into an issue: after restarting the server, I'm unable to connect via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). I always have to log in locally to the device to get past the Windows 11 'welcome screen.' Once I log in locally, RDP works perfectly. Can anyone help me figure out what might be causing this?

It sounds like your issue could be related to how you're restarting your server. When you 'pull the plug' using your smart plug, you're essentially cutting power, which means Windows isn't shutting down properly. This can cause it to boot into a sort of safe mode, which wouldn't allow RDP access. It’s better to properly shut down your server to avoid this problem.

That makes sense! I was using the smart plug to turn it off and on for convenience, but it’s good to know that it can mess things up. Guess I'll have to find a better way to restart!
