Why Can’t My New GPU Be Detected?

I just built a new PC with a Ryzen 7 7800x3d processor, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a 5060ti 16GB GPU. Everything looks good and is powered on, but my GPU isn't being detected at all. I can only get an HDMI signal from my motherboard, and my graphics card is not showing up in the device manager; it only lists "AMD Radeon (TM) graphics". I've tried changing the PCI_E1 slot settings in the BIOS, unplugging and replugging everything, but nothing seems to work. I haven't yet tested with a different GPU, but I plan to try my old 2070 Super tomorrow. At this point, any ideas on what could be wrong? By the way, I can't install the Nvidia drivers since the GPU isn't being detected, and I've also seen that the drivers only support the 20, 30, and 40 series cards.

Since it's detecting the old 2070 Super without issues, it sounds like it could be a problem with how the new card is set up or possibly the card itself. Make sure it's seated correctly in the PCIe slot. If you haven't already, try resetting the BIOS as well—sometimes that helps with detection problems. But if it works fine with the old GPU, you might want to consider if that 5060ti is faulty.

Make sure your monitor is connected directly to the GPU. Sometimes, it defaults to the motherboard graphics if it's still plugged in there. If you're only getting a blank screen, it might be with the connection itself. Also, double-check that the power cables are properly connected to the GPU. Those can sometimes be the culprits when things aren't showing up right.
