I have an Asus Vivobook E410MA that I've only had for about three years. While I was working, it suddenly shut down at 23% battery, and now it won't charge at all. The charging light just blinks orange instead of staying solid, and I can only turn it on when it's plugged in. Once I unplug it, it dies immediately. I've tried holding the power button for 30 seconds multiple times, but that hasn't helped. Is my battery just cooked?

Sounds like you might need a new battery, but don’t worry, they're usually not expensive. If you’ve got some basic skills, swapping it out yourself should be pretty straightforward, and there are tons of helpful videos online. It’s also possible that something inside the battery is preventing it from charging, especially if you’ve been running it down to low levels often. Just keep in mind that letting your battery stay between 20% and 80% is better for longevity. You should be able to find a replacement for around $75 or less online or even on eBay.
Honestly, I think your battery is dead. It’s common for that to happen after a few years, especially if it was often used until it was almost empty. Hope it’s just that and not anything more complicated!
Make sure you keep an eye on how you use your battery moving forward. It shouldn't have failed so soon, but habits like running it all the way down repeatedly can shorten its life.
