Why do I have to run Display Driver Uninstaller every reboot to fix choppy games?

I've been experiencing an annoying problem where my games feel really choppy, like they're running at 60Hz even though my monitor is capable of 360Hz. This issue started unexpectedly, and I've found that running Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) temporarily fixes it. However, once I reboot my computer, the problem returns, forcing me to use DDU again. I've tried a lot of suggestions from AI tools but nothing seems to stick. Has anyone else dealt with a similar issue?

What does DDU even stand for? I’ve seen it mentioned a lot, but it sounds confusing!

DDU stands for Display Driver Uninstaller. It's a utility used to completely remove graphics drivers.

Quick question: Is your internet connection active when you reboot? Try turning it off before rebooting and see if that helps. It might be something to do with driver updates being downloaded automatically during the boot process!

But why would this cause an issue? I'm really curious about the connection.

I’ve set DDU not to download automatically, but I'll give the offline installation a shot. Thanks for the tip!

Are you using Windows 11? I’ve heard that some compatibility issues can cause similar problems with high refresh rate monitors.

Yes, I'm on Windows 11.
