Why Do My Games Keep Crashing After 30 Minutes?

I've got a Lenovo laptop featuring an i7-10750h processor and an RTX 2060, but I keep facing a frustrating issue: every game I try crashes after about 30 minutes, though that time varies. I've already tried nearly everything software-related, including a full Windows reinstall, yet the problem persists. Some games display the DXGI_DEVICE_REMOVED / HUNG error, which makes me suspect a GPU issue. The laptop's temperature seems stable at around 85°C, and there's no performance drop during gameplay. I even ran a VRAM test using OCCT, and it came back clean. When I restart the game, I can usually play for nearly the same duration again. I will be replacing the thermal paste soon, but I doubt that's the root cause given the stable performance. What else should I monitor or try to solve this?

85°C is on the higher side. What’s the idle temperature? Be sure to clear out any dust and reapply your thermal paste; sometimes a good cleaning can make a difference. Also, keep an eye on whether the fans are working properly.

The DXGI_DEVICE_REMOVED error suggests that your GPU is running into issues. Considering your stable temperatures, it could still be heat-related but may require further investigation. Make sure to monitor your system closely while gaming.
