Why do my phone charging cables keep breaking?

I've been going through charging cords for my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G like they're disposable! I started with extra cables for different places—my car, bedroom, and purse—plus the one that came with the phone. The original one lasted about three months, and the others didn't do much better. Eventually, the phone wouldn't charge at all, even wirelessly, after about three years. I got a new Samsung cable with my replacement phone, but it barely lasted a month. I've tried both different plugs and wall extensions, and the power seems fine since I can charge other devices. I really can't keep spending $20 each month for new chargers, but something's clearly off. I bought another cable locally, but it's charging super slowly. Any tips?

Make sure to check the wattage of your charger! Higher wattage usually means faster charging. You can usually find this info on the adapter or in the phone’s manual. It might help if you have the right wattage to keep your cables from burning out so quickly.

Exactly! If you're using a low wattage charger, it could be heating up and damaging your cables over time.
