Hi folks! I'm dealing with a Dell Precision 3650 desktop that powers off just 10 seconds after I turn it on, and there's no display at all. A bit of context: I recently wiped the system using the Dell BIOS, and it booted up fine after that. However, after booting into Dell Support Assist, I turned it off and unplugged it. That's when this shutting off issue started.
I've tried taking out the NVMe drive and testing it with just one stick of RAM, but it still won't boot. I also did the power cycling trick—holding the power button for 30 seconds while it was unplugged—but that didn't help either. Interestingly, when I unplugged the CPU from the power supply, the system stayed on.
Does this mean the CPU or power supply is the culprit? Any ideas on why this is happening or what my next steps should be?

It seems like your motherboard might be the issue if you're not getting any BIOS screen. From what I’ve seen, CPUs usually fail less often than motherboards, and the onboard graphics should normally give you some error signals. So, it’s worth looking into the motherboard first.

That's interesting! I just thought it was odd that it worked fine before the wipe. Could I have damaged the motherboard by turning it off unexpectedly?
