Why does my laptop keep rebooting during Linux installations?

I'm having a really frustrating issue with my ASUS ROG Strix G15 laptop, which has an RTX 3050 and an AMD processor. Whenever I try to install any Linux distribution, including CachyOS, Arch Linux, and Ubuntu, the system unexpectedly reboots during the installation process. I managed to install Ubuntu using a safe graphics mode, but after a few minutes, it still crashes. I've tried booting with 'nomodeset' as well, which has had mixed results. This laptop is dual-booting with Windows, which runs perfectly fine without any issues. I'm willing to provide more details if needed, but I want to figure out what's causing these reboots during Linux installations. My setup has a single SSD that's partitioned, and the EFI partition is 260mb.

It sounds like a possible hardware problem. You may want to run your laptop plugged in without the battery to see if that helps. A failing battery can sometimes cause these issues.

Have you checked if your laptop's BIOS has a diagnostic tool? Running a full test could reveal potential hardware issues causing these restarts.

When installing, always try to connect via an Ethernet cable instead of WiFi. Also, remember to remove the installation media after the process to avoid conflicts.

I had a similar problem, and it turned out my laptop's RAM was faulty. Replacing it solved the rebooting issue completely.
