Why is a strange directory appearing in my home folder?

I noticed a directory appearing in my home folder without me creating it, and I'm not sure what's going on. It's named with just a quotation mark and, when I open it, it leads me to my Video folder on another drive, which is empty. I'm using openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE, and I've verified my installation ISO, so I don't think my system has been compromised. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Should I consider reinstalling my system as a precaution?

Make sure you check the file at ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs. Sometimes stray paths can sneak in there and mess things up. Did you find anything unusual when you looked?

I checked, but everything looks normal in there. Nothing out of place.

It could be something related to a new program or app you installed recently. Have you considered that the new apps, like Ente Photo or Filen Desktop, might have triggered this? I noticed that the folder pops up when I open my Flatpak apps too. It’s odd, but sometimes certain applications create links to your directories without your direct involvement.

That's exactly what I’m thinking! It seems to happen whenever you launch Flatpaks. I’ve got the same setup as you with apps like Telegram and Audacity, but they shouldn’t be causing issues like this.
