A few accounts have moved from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace, and calendar availability shows in Microsoft 365 but not in Google Workspace. The migrated accounts are mail users in Microsoft 365 and have the calendar interop address as an alias on both sides. What should I check?
Why is free/busy only working one way between Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Answers
Check the mail userโs address attributes, not just whether the interop address appears as an alias. Compare the address configured for calendar interop with the mail userโs primary email and external address, and make sure the values match the expected interop address exactly. A matching alias by itself may not be enough.

Before changing a working setup, check Microsoft 365 service health. A reported service incident can cause one direction of availability lookup to fail, so confirm whether the issue is still active before treating this as a configuration problem.

If the addresses look right, try a recently migrated account as a comparison. That can help separate an account-specific attribute issue from a broader interop problem. One reported fix was to set both the primary email address and external address to the Google Calendar interop domain address, but verify that fits your configuration before applying it broadly.
