Hey everyone! I'm not super tech-savvy and I built my computer about a year ago. Lately, I've noticed that my CPU usage is showing 100% even when I don't have anything open. Checking the task manager reveals that the individual applications are only using about 90% total. Everything seems to be running fine for now, but I'm worried there might be an underlying issue. A couple of months ago, I had problems with my USB ports not working, and I recently faced a glitch where I couldn't click on any icons, but reinstalling Windows fixed that. Any ideas on what might be causing this high CPU usage?

First off, you'll want to double-check what components you've got in your build. If your CPU is idling at 100%, that's definitely not normal. You can bring up the task manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete and then selecting it. Look under the CPU section to see which applications or processes are causing the high usage. It might help to identify the culprit!
Here's my build: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, 32 GB RAM, B650 motherboard, Gigabyte RTX 4070 GPU. I think I might be missing some SSD info though as I pulled it from an old laptop.
