I recently took my home PC to college. Initially, I was using it without a GPU, but I saved up and purchased a secondhand Sapphire RX 580. After installing the GPU, I had to remove my PCIe wifi adapter to make space. I connected the GPU to the PCIe slot and hooked it up to the power supply. Now, while the GPU lights are on and the fans are spinning, I'm getting a 'No signal' message on my display, both from the GPU and the motherboard HDMI out. However, when I disconnect the GPU's power supply, the motherboard's HDMI works fine. What could be causing this issue? Any tips?

Check if the fans on the GPU are spinning. If they aren't, the GPU might be broken. But if they are running, it's possible that the GPU itself could still be malfunctioning even if the lights are on. Sometimes components can be faulty but still show signs of power.
It's possible your GPU is dead. If none of the outputs are working after installation, it might be worth testing the GPU in a different system to see if it works there. Also, double-check that it's seated properly in the PCIe slot and that all power connections are secure.
Is there a way to confirm if the GPU is dead even if the fans and lights appear to be working?

Yes, the GPU fans are definitely spinning.
