I'm having some trouble with my gaming PC performance. I recently upgraded to a pretty robust setup, but I'm still not seeing the FPS improvements I expected—especially when playing games like Dune Awakening, where my frame rates drop below 60 on high settings. My specs are as follows: I have an ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING motherboard, coupled with an AMD RX 7900 XTX SAPPHIRE graphics card, an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU, and 16GB of Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 RAM. I also use an MSI MAG 850W power supply. Given these specs, I thought my gaming experience would be significantly better, but it's really not living up to expectations. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue?

I’ve heard that some MMOs can be more CPU-intensive, which might explain the lower FPS. The 5800X3D is solid but not top-tier for every game, so it's possible that some titles won’t fully utilize your GPU's potential due to CPU limitations.
What resolution are you playing at? If it's 1440p, you might be pushing your hardware a bit more than you realize, especially with those high settings.
Yeah, I'm running at 2560 x 1440p.
Have you tried using DDU to uninstall the old drivers and then installing the latest ones for your new GPU? Sometimes even after switching, it helps to ensure you're on the right drivers, especially on Windows 10. It really can make a difference!
Also, are your monitors connected to the GPU or the motherboard? It sounds silly, but that could affect performance.
I did use DDU when switching to AMD and made sure to grab the latest drivers, so I'm good there.
A fresh Windows install is common advice when switching from NVIDIA to AMD, even when using DDU. Also, consider clearing your shader cache—it might help with performance drops you're experiencing.
Make sure to check your RAM usage while gaming. Sometimes, even high specs can struggle if you’re running out of the RAM you need, though 16GB should generally be plenty unless your games are really demanding. How's it looking for you?
Whenever I make big hardware changes, I prefer to do a fresh install of Windows. It clears out any potential conflicts. Have you considered that? You'd just need to back up your stuff first!
I haven't thought about that, but I do worry about the hassle. What if it doesn't help?
I've got a 7900XT, and while it's super fast, I notice significant drops when ray tracing is enabled, so keep that in mind too.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense. The 5800X3D is good, but maybe not game-changing for every scenario.
