Why Is My iPhone 14 Only Charging Wirelessly?

I've had my iPhone 14 for about 3 years, and recently I've been facing a frustrating issue where the phone only charges when the charging cable is positioned just right. This has forced me to rely on wireless charging, but since I use a case, it's a hassle to take everything off to charge it. Is there a simple fix for this, or is it going to require professional help?

You might want to take it to a repair shop. Sometimes, it could just be something stuck in the charging port, which was the case for me a couple of times. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Before anything else, have you tried cleaning out the charging port? Dust and lint can accumulate and cause charging issues.

I’m about to try that! What do you think I should use to clean it out?

It sounds like a cleaning might just do the trick! I’ve been able to charge my phone through the case without issues. If it's still tricky, maybe the port itself is the problem.

I had a similar problem and found cleaning was the answer. You might want to use a toothpick or something similar to gently clear out any lint. It’s worked for me in the past and could save you a trip to the shop!

Have you replaced your charging cable? They do wear out over time. I had the same issue with my old iPhone, and a new cable fixed it.
